Location: Ottawa, Canada (Hybrid Mode*)

You have:


  • A Master's degree with a specialization in Gender studies, Sociology, International development, Community development or equivalent.
  • Proficiency in French and English (reading, writing and speaking).
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience working in an international context, with experience in gender transformation, community or international development activities and capacity strengthening.
  • Recent experience working in partnership with NGO networks, and preferably women's rights organizations (WROs) through principles of powersharing and accompaniment.
  • Sound knowledge and understanding of gender and inclusion theory, best practices, current thinking and trends.
  • An indepth understanding of gender integration in development and /or humanitarian policy and practice and in organizational policies, systems and processes.

  • A skilled communicator with excellent interpersonal skills capable of conveying complex ideas and messages clearly using a variety and methods for engaging different audiences.
  • A team player and strong leader including sensitivity towards individual, gender, and cultural differences demonstrating the ability to build and maintain positive and strategic working relationships within a culturally and geographically diverse organization.
  • Resultoriented with superior organizing, coordinating, problemsolving, conceptual, and Analytical skills able to work under pressure using your initiative and sound judgment.
  • Proficient in capacitystrengthening techniques and adult learning principles.

You are interested in:


  • Leading the ongoing implementation of the GEI programming framework and providing technical leadership on integrating gender equality and inclusion considerations in all aspects of the program lifecycle and program interventions.
  • Promoting GEI programming capacity building through design, development and delivery of learning approaches, strategies, training workshops and guidelines to increase the knowledge, skills and capacity of staff, and by promoting crosscontext learning.
  • Partnering with stakeholders to implement and operationalize the Centre's GEI framework.
  • Developing and maintaining appropriate metrics to monitor and report on the Centre's GEI performance.
  • Joining an organization that values and models diversity, inclusion, and equity.

  • Hybrid Mode: Have the flexibility to work in hybrid mode (Minimum 3 days out of 10 in the office).
