Overview:

Lee Valley is seeking a temporary ISM Engagement Coordinator to cover a leave of absence.

The ISM Engagement Coordinator oversees and facilitates the corporate retail experience programs around Seminars, Workshops, Events, and New Store Openings throughout the Lee Valley Retail locations.


Key Responsibilities:


Duties may include:

  • Develops an annual instore engagement plan grounded on business needs, market trends, customer preferences, and established marketing campaigns; designed to differentiate us from competitors, build mindshare and develop and foster relationships with our field teams and customers
  • Deeply understands our Customer Segmentation to be able to understand what drives most engagement within our categories. Strives to continuously gather customer feedback and uses these insights to improve the instore engagement plan
  • Effectively collaborates with various stakeholders on the creation of the instore engagement calendar as it relates to the Marketing Calendar & Customer Segmentation
  • Manages the endtoend execution of the instore engagement plan including internal communications, guest speakers/vendor relationships, customer registrations, instore setup and budget
  • Executes the instore engagement plan to the highest of standards, aligned to our brand guidelines and leads to KPI attainment
  • Effective budget management, procurement process management and compliance across all events executed
  • Continuously monitors results against established KPIs and adjusts engagement activities accordingly to ensure ongoing improvement
  • Adjust priorities and manage time wisely in a fastpaced environment
  • Communicate in a clear, concise manner and listen attentively to others
  • Maintain strong relationships with our field teams and head office business partners, work together to continually improve communication and processes
  • Responsible for searching for outside influencers/presenters to include in the instore engagement calendar, as needed
  • Create clear documentation of the instore processes for all instore engagement activities

Knowledge and Skills:


  • 13 years of experience in a related field is preferred
  • Must have strong oral and written communication skills
  • Must have good time management, organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Must have good problem solving skills
  • Must have good relationship building skills
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite
  • Passion for woodworking, gardening or a specific craft an asset
