Discovery Co-operative is hiring a Full-Time Fertilizer Operator for our Farm Supply Department located in North Battleford, SK.


Who we are:


What you'll do:


  • Responsible for overseeing the smooth, safe, and efficient operation of Discovery Coop's Dry Fertilizer Shed.
  • Direct and Control physical intake of product, ensuring all product is offloaded and accounted for correctly.
  • Provide team and customers with a good understanding of the dry fertilizer blending and treating functions.
  • Understand fertilizer blend sheets and operate blending system to outload product to the customer.
  • Oversee the organization of inventory, including proper handling and completion of all required documentation.
  • Responsible for Plant Safety Protocol and the implementation of Safe Work Procedures and SOP's.
  • Perform general housekeeping and maintenance as required.
  • Provides exceptional customer service while maintaining a safe and efficient operation.
  • Backfill in other areas of the Farm Supply operation during seasonal lows and as required by management.
  • Perform other duties assigned.

Who you are:

You are looking for a career in Agriculture and have:

  • A valid 1A Driver's License.
  • Knowledge of the agriculture industry and products
  • Basic understanding of fertilizer blending processes
  • Ability to operate skid steer/loader and general equipment
  • Ability to operate basic computer and Point of Sale systems
  • Capacity to take direction from multiple sources
  • Ability to supervise and direct other Team Members as required
  • Ability and capacity to positively interact and maintain customer and Team Member relationships
  • Ability to lift up to 100 lbs.
  • Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
  • Cooperative retail experience is an asset
  • 4R and Pesticide Dispenser Certification would be considered an asset
  • Is a honest, trustworthy and results orientated individual who strives to be the best in what you do.
