Position Summary:
Reporting to the Senior Manager, Maintenance, the Maintenance Store Clerk is responsible for multiple roles pertaining to stock keeping, inventory control, purchasing, delivery of goods and executing all delegated functions seamlessly.
Key Accountabilities:
- Keeping a record and maintaining cycle counts of the entire inventory;
- Receiving and verifying the inventory with purchase order listings;
- Reporting loss, damage and any such discrepancies to the supervising authorities;
- Assisting in the labelling, tagging and packaging of goods;
- Ensuring the timely dispatch of goods to the appropriate destinations;
- Coordinating and synchronizing work functions with the vendors, suppliers and other internal departments of the establishment;
- Maintaining cleanliness and order in the work place, and complying with all safety norms while carrying out work functions;
- Buy merchandise or commodities, other than farm products, for resale to consumers at the wholesale or retail level, including both durable and nondurable goods;
- Analyze past buying trends, sales records, price, and quality of merchandise to determine value and yield;
- Select, order, and authorize payment for merchandise according to contractual agreements;
Requirements:
- High school degree, diploma, or a GED equivalent qualification from an accredited institution;
- Ability to effectively manage time, meet targets and coordinate activities with team members;
- Should have excellent written and verbal communication skills;
- Understanding of storage safety norms and other documentation processes;
- Should have a good understanding of PC Knowledge for feeding inventory records.
