Role Summary


Responsibilities:


  • In collaboration with the Lake Club Manager, facilitate the coordination and operational oversight of all Lake Club service touch points including both Recreation and Leisure and Food and Beverage
  • In partnership with the Lake Club Manager, function as Lake Club Resident Ambassador; responsible for fostering Homeowner relationships, queries and responding to all service challenges
  • Assist with the training, coaching and development of both the Recreation and Leisure and Food and Beverage teams, engaging in performance management and positive coaching and counselling as needed
  • Maintain service standards and enhance quality of service and offerings
  • Establish, communicate, train, and monitor front of house Food and Beverage procedures
  • In the absence of the Lake Club Manager, manage scheduling and day to day operations in accordance with employment policies and budget targets
  • Ensure that all Food and Beverage payroll processes are carried out in a timely and accurate manner
  • Assist the Lake Club Manager and the Food and Beverage leadership team in the development and implementation of Food and Beverage orientation and training
  • In collaboration with the Executive Chef, assist in the creation, development and feedback delivery of all menus
  • Responsible for completing inventories, stock and requisition necessary supplies
  • Provide resortwide Food and Beverage leadership assistance where it is deemed required including the Pier, The Nest, The Beach Club and Starbucks
  • Monitor dining room for seating availability, service, safety and wellbeing of guests
  • Serve as an individual contributor and department role model by performing technical or functional job duties including serving tables, clearing tables, taking orders
  • Ensure that departmental goals are communicated, understood, and met by colleagues
  • Coordinate tasks and work with other departments to ensure that the department runs efficiently
  • Coach and develop associates through performance management, career development and advancement opportunities
  • Hire, train, coach and develop a successful and enthusiastic team, engaging in performance management and positive coaching and counseling as needed
  • Effectively manage a team of full time, part time and seasonal employees
  • Lead and coach the Lake Club employees, ensuring the successful internal operations of the department including; professional and courteous customer service, complete utilization and accuracy of management software system, proper training and supervision of all employees to ensure respectful behaviour toward the guests and their property
  • Provide ongoing feedback and training to develop associates
  • Compliance with all safety regulations of assigned tasks, and ensure a clean and safe working environment with active participation in the health and safety program
  • Adhere to all environmental policies and programs as required
  • Other duties as assigned

Requirements:


  • Minimum 2 years' leadership experience within the hospitality industry, preferably Food and Beverage
  • Previous resort or club experience an asset, including Recreation and Leisure
  • Comprehensive knowledge of food and wine, including service
  • Smart Serve certification
  • International Wine Education Guild (IWEG) or the Wine & Spirit Education Trust (WSET) level wine courses an asset
  • Degree or Diploma in hospitality, travel and tourism, or food and beverage
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite; Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Publisher, Outlook
  • Must possess excellent customer service skills
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Detailoriented and works with a high degree of accuracy
  • Ability to multitask in a fastpaced environment
  • Must be extremely responsible with integrity and ability to maintain confidentiality and discretion
