Opportunity
The
Custom Wood Manufacturer works as a team member in our Custom Department to create unique wood components for our cabinets.
Key objectives in the role are to:
- Study plans, specifications, or drawings of articles to be made
- Selecting the appropriate materials, fittings, and tools for each task
- Mark outlines or dimensions of parts on wood
- Operate woodworking machines, such as power saws, jointers, mortisers and shapers, and use hand tools to cut, shape and form parts and components
- Trim joints and fit parts and subassemblies together to form complete units using glue and clamps and reinforce joints using nails, screws, or other fasteners
- Inspecting each completed item to ensure it has been constructed accurately
You have:
- Strong mathematical skills
- Attention to detail
- Problem Solving
- Ability to meet tight deadlines without sacrificing workmanship
- High school diploma, GED, or equivalent
- Physical fitness with the capacity to lift 50lbs
- 12 years of Carpentry experience
