As the
Program Supervisor
for one of
our youth programs
in Vancouver
, you will have the opportunity to lead a team to support, care, and mentor at-risk youth.

You will embrace the opportunity to take responsibility for overall functions of the program home.

This includes but is not limited to:

scheduling and training staff, implementing care plans, carrying out administrative duties, ensuring household maintenance and safety, treatment planning, community liaison, and being part of an integrated case management team.

This line is
Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week. This role will provide occasional evening/weekend support as needed, and includes joining the Weekend On-Call Supervisor rotation.


Qualifications:


  • Postsecondary education in related field and/or equivalent experience working with atrisk youth
  • Experience working with atrisk youth with complex mental and behavioural challenges and substance use
  • Knowledge or experience working with Indigenous youth
  • Experience or knowledge of traumainformed care
  • Ability to set strong boundaries and build appropriate rapport with youth
  • Strong administration skills
  • Ability to effectively manage multiple tasks and competing priorities
  • Ability to work collaboratively with community resources, multidisciplinary professionals, and client families
  • Clear, direct, and sensitive written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to deliver confident supervision and provide performance feedback to staff, both positive and constructive as necessary
  • Ability to pass a Criminal Record Check and Ministry of Children and Family Development consolidated check (takes up to 6 weeks to process so please plan accordingly)
  • Proof of COVID19 double vaccination record or exemption from the provincial health authority
  • Valid Driver's License is an asset

A sample of what you'll be doing:

  • Maintaining a safe and healthy environment in the home
  • Building positive working relationships with the youth, their families, community members, and other professionals (e.g. social workers, probation officers)
  • Facilitating recreational and/or educational activities
  • Performing outreach as needed
  • Performing household maintenance duties, preparing meals, administering medication
  • Attending school meetings and case conferences when required
  • Encouraging and modeling acceptable social standards and setting and maintaining appropriate limits
  • Collaborating with the clinical team and providing input into assessments and youth care plans
