CNIB invites you to build a career as unique as you We are currently searching for a
Mailroom Shipper/Receiver Reporting to the Senior Director, Property, the Mailroom Shipper/Receiver will Work with the mailroom team to receive incoming shipments and process them according to established procedures and store in the appropriate areas accurately and efficiently.
Your impact at CNIB:
- Monitor and respond to TOPDesk courier and shipping requests, including providing estimated courier or postal rates.
- Ensure all customer inquiries are handled in a professional and timely manner and when customers are redirected to another staff, ensure customer is not left without service.
- Prepare packages for shipment while utilizing appropriate courier software.
- Assist in sorting incoming mail, place mail in designated mail slots. Run postage meter mail when backup support is needed.
- Run the monthend postage meter and courier reports for analysis by Property staff.
- Record all incoming cheques addressed to Accounts Receivable and deliver same to AR desk.
Requirements:
Who you are:
- Physically capable of performing the essential duties of the job and lifting up to 50lb due to the heavy nature of some parcels and deliveries.
- Experience working in a fastpaced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Strong interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in MS Word and Excel.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Interpersonal skills and relationshipbuilding.
We want to hear from you if you have:
- Secondary School diploma.
- Requires 2 years of relevant experience.
- Personal or professional experience relating to blindness and sight loss is considered an asset
- Personal or professional experience working with assistive technology and/or accessible environments is considered an asset
