ORGANIZATIONAL PROFILE

The City of North Vancouver (the City) respectfully acknowledge that we live and work on the traditional and unceded territories of the Skwxwú7mesh (Squamish) and Səl̓ílwətaɬ (Tsleil-Waututh) Nations.

The City of North Vancouver is committed to reconciliation with these Nations, who have lived on these lands since time immemorial.

Born and shaped by its rich history, diverse culture, and natural environment, the City is a community with a long-term vision for the future and brimming potential.

Residents and businesses make the City unique, and they take pride in being a welcoming host, inspiring example, and inviting home to people of all ages, backgrounds, and interests.

Through Council's Strategic Plan, Council's Vision is to be "The Healthiest Small City in the World" and they have identified five key priorities to support this vision and to guide their work: a City for People, a Liveable City, a Vibrant City, a Connected City and a Prosperous City.

The Strategic Plan is intended to support Council's decision making for future initiatives, projects and plans, and provides guidance to City staff, partners and the community.
