Position Summary:


The Human Resources Coordinator is part of the Prairies Human Resources Team, supporting the Edmonton division in the areas of administrative HR support including, but not limited to onboarding, benefits and wellness administration, company communication, coordination of company events and additional project support for the team.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Enters data into HR systems, maintain HR files and records, produces HR reports
  • Coordinates details, logistics, communication and execution of various events including training, wellness, orientation, open enrollment, fairs, and other divisional HR events
  • Schedules meetings, assists with and directs incoming questions from employees
  • Facilitates onboarding of new employees
  • Works collaboratively with Talent Acquisition and hiring managers on recruitment needs
  • Conducts payroll support activities
  • Supports internal communication
  • Participates in planning and implementation of special projects and initiatives
  • Participates in Prairies Engagement Committee
  • Advises and assists managers and employees on interpretation and administration of company policies and programs
  • Coordinates with disability management
  • Ensures regulatory compliance with Employment Standards and legal requirements
  • Performs other duties as assigned

  • Must have the ability to multitask and work well under pressure

  • Attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Able to work as part of a team
  • Knowledge of or ability to learn HRIS, applicant tracking software, Electronic Filing software and other GFS HR systems
  • Proficient computer skills with working knowledge of Google Applications
  • Flexible schedule, this position is based onsite
