Hey I'm Amy and I'm looking for our first VP of Finance or CFO to lead our incredible Finance Team


You'll bring at least ten (10) years of mid-senior level experience in a Finance role, working directly with C-Suite and Leadership Teams.

This is a fantastic opportunity for you to take your Finance career to the next level in an environment that's incredibly unique (you'll work alongside musicians and creatives).


As the VP of Finance (or CFO), you will oversee all financial activities within Musora and work alongside the Leadership Team to provide strategic leadership, and financial planning, and drive initiatives to optimize the company's financial performance and growth.


Key Duties & Responsibilities:

Developing Financial Strategies and Oversight:


  • Provide insights and recommendations for investments, funding, mergers, acquisitions, and strategic initiatives.
  • Develop and execute financial strategies for short and longterm company objectives.
  • Establish and supervise fiscal policies, systems, and procedures for accurate financial reporting and robust controls.
  • Roadmap the optimization of new and existing technology and processes.
  • Drive departmental operations for actionable financial data and continuous improvement.
  • Lead financial planning, analyzing KPIs, models, and forecasts.
  • Analyze financial performance, ensuring compliance with regulations and standards.
  • Manage budgeting, trend analysis, fund allocation, and cash management.
  • Oversee the timely generation of financial statements.
  • Support, train, and empower the finance and accounting team.

Key Qualifications:


  • Professional Accounting designation (CPA), MBA, or equivalent.
  • Proven experience (at least 10 years) in a Mid-Senior Finance role, working directly with Leadership and C-Suite.
  • Proven experience with Mergers & Acquisitions and funding strategies.
  • Proven experience managing a team.
  • Indepth comprehensive understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) accounting principles, laws and best practices.
  • Knowledge of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) or accounting standards for private enterprises (ASPE).
  • Solid understanding of financial analysis, budgeting and forecasting.
  • Proficiency in the English language (written and verbal).

Key Performance Indicators (KPI):


  • Finance department costs as a percent of revenue (efficiency & continual improvement)
  • Days to close monthend and yearend (efficiency)
  • Time to Conduct Budget and Planning Process (efficiency)

Reporting Structure

  • Reports to the Chief Operating Officer
  • Manages the Finance Team of six individuals

This role is Onsite/Hybrid, coming in onsite at least three (3) days per week, with the flexibility to work remotely.
