Custodian
on the
Day Shift

This is a term position ending
October 26**, 2024
.Reporting to the **_Shift _
_Manager__ _**as Custodian you will serve an integral role in ensuring a safe, clutter-free, well maintained work environment.

You will:

Clean the buildings and facilities to ensure that they are maintained in a safe and healthy manner. Clean aisles as required.
Wash and disinfect all washroom floors, toilets, toilet seats, hand dryers and fixtures, clean all mirrors and replenish toilet tissue and soap as needed.
Empty all wastebaskets and garbage cans and recyclable materials.
Keeping outside area near exit and entrance clear of snow, garbage, and other debris.
Clean, sweep, dust mop, wet mop floors and stairways to ensure cleanliness. Wash and buff floors with floor polisher. Sweep and scrub floors using the scrubber/sweeper.
Maintain storage areas and cleaning equipment, materials and supplies in a safe and orderly manner to ensure the safety of staff and the public.
Use of compactor and baler
Other duties as assigned.

You bring:

Highly reliable with a strong work ethic
Positive attitude and strong interpersonal skills
Able to perform strenuous physical activities, including bending and lifting.
Able to stand and walk for extended periods of time.
Ability to operate scrubber/sweeper or willing to learn.
Good working knowledge of standard cleaning procedures, chemicals, products, and equipment.
