Description

We are currently searching for a committed, professional, and flexible Banquet Manager/ Superviso, with an immediate opening for this FULL-TIME position.

Reporting to the Operations Director, the Banquet Manager/ Supervisor is accountable for providing clientele with a first-class banquet and catering experience.

This SERVICE-FIRST position includes, but is not limited to, the following:

Liaising with the Banquet Manager, Executive Chef, and other members of the Events, Administration, and Kitchen Staff to meet/ exceed customer expectations;
Controlling the cost/ quality of services, preparing the venue, and coordinating meal services;
Scheduling Banquet staff, monitoring ongoing labour costs, and completing labour relations documentation (as required);
Interacting directly with clients and patrons to answer questions and accommodate special requests;
Managing monthly inventory controls;
Managing the availability of liquor and beverages;
Reviewing sales contracts with the Sales team;
Supervising a team of 2040 servers, bartenders, and floor staff before, during, and after events (both onsite and offsite);
Overseeing and participating in set up, tear down, and modifications to floor plans;
Serving, or assisting with service, during breakfasts, lunches, dinners, and other catered events; and,
Other duties and special projects as assigned.

Requirements:

Previous serving experience (3-5 years) in a banquet, hospitality, hotel, catering, and/ or restaurant capacity in a managerial position is required.

A diploma or certificate in Hospitality, Event Management, Culinary Arts, or a related field of study is required.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, as well as catering management software, is required.

This position requires a strong command of the English language. Bilingualism is an asset, but is not required.

Wages & Hours of Work
This is a full-time position, and pays between $55,000- $65,000 per year, commensurate with experience.
