ROLE STATEMENT:

The Electronics Technician - Apprentice will be a member of the Maintenance department responsible for addressing electrical issues and performing preventative maintenance on all components of Calfrac equipment.

Reporting to the Senior Maintenance Manager, the Electronics Technician - Apprentice will focus on the repair and maintenance of all Calfrac equipment to company standards.


SPECIFIC ACCOUNTABILITIES:


  • Work safely in accordance with all company safety policies, procedures, and Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) requirements
  • Repair and maintain all Calfrac electrical equipment and components
  • Maintain all recording and control software
  • Complete updates and modification requests
  • Perform preventive maintenance on a regular basis
  • Assist in scheduling and costs for repairs
  • Develop a base understanding of fracturing, coiled tubing and cementing operations

  • This position is considered to be a Safety Sensitive Position and may require additional screening
  • This position has bona fide physical requirements and may require additional screening

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:


  • Enrolled in, or working towards, an accredited one or two year technical school program or Journeyman Instrumentation Certification.
  • Good understanding and experience with basic hydraulic systems
  • Experience with electric over hydraulic / air and PLC is considered an asset
  • High School Diploma/GED preferred
  • Technical training diploma or certificate in electronics recommended
  • Knowledge of electronic control systems, QA-QC, and troubleshooting
