WHAT'S THE JOB?
Marek Hospitality is a Canadian company that specializes in providing fresh from scratch food services at our client locations. Our teams of culinary and hospitality professionals share a passion for great food and service. We celebrate culinary achievement, encourage creativity and challenge and reward our people for outstanding work.

We are currently recruiting for a General Help - Delivery Driver to work at our location in North York, ON.

This role will deliver food items to the different on-site locations, as well as assist in food preparation, cleaning and provide customer support in our café.

The hours of work are Monday to Friday from 6:30am-2:30pm, hours may change based on customer's needs.

The Position will...

Safely drive or, use cart, to and from locations to deliver commissary food, catering and coffee services without degrading quality of food and supplies.
Conduct daily, pretrip, truck inspections.
Assist with appointments for regular maintenance including recording information on pickups and deliveries, vehicle mileage, fuel costs and any problems encountered
Setup catering services according to Marek Hospitality standards.
Collect deposits from locations, store safely and deliver to management team for verification.
Track and make daily deposits to bank with use of Marek Hospitality Logbook. Pick up orders from the LCBO as required.
Interact with catering customers to verify quality of service and products
Provide support to the team in setting up the area for meals and serving customers
Conduct daily inspections of work areas and keep all work areas clean and sanitary, including delivery vehicle and receiving locations
Ensuring safe preparation of food and beverage ingredients including temperature recording
Assist the chef in creating fresh from scratch meals and serving them to our customers
Prepare fresh ingredients while safely using industrial knives
Following policies and standards of Marek Hospitality and Tim Horton's (if applicable) as well as adhere to workplace safety and food safety/sanitation regulations
Handle cash operations for the cafe, accurately inputting customer orders and receiving payment while maintaining assigned float and properly tracking all transactions
Performs other duties as assigned to meet business needs

Qualifications:

WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

A valid G driver's license with delivery experience, willing to travel for extended periods at a time
A clean driver abstract
Experience working with fresh ingredients and creating meals from scratch in a fastpaced environment
Certifications as required to comply with local Health codes
Knowledge of basic sanitation requirements and food handling safety standards
Good communication skills (verbal, listening, writing, presentation), as well as organizational skills
Ability to lift (10kg.), pull & push heavy loads & be exposed to extreme temperatures
