Project Manager (ILS):


The Project Manager, Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) is responsible for planning and control of ILS activities for new build projects to ensure timely completion according to customer requirement and budget at the required quality level.

Reporting to the ILS Manager, the ILS Project Manager ensures project processes and procedures are adhered to by ILS personnel, as well as service providers and suppliers where applicable.

The Project Manager tracks project and Program related KPIs for the ILS and In Service Support projects and formulates action plans to address gaps and/or reinforce existing practices


Note:

Due to business needs, this position is required to be fully on-site based at 2 Pemberton Ave, North Vancouver.



What you'll do

  • Support the ILS Manager and Project Management in the definition of project scope and objectives, involving all relevant team members and ensuring technical feasibility.
  • Coordinate internal and external resources as applicable for the execution of ILS activities.
  • Support Subcontracts with the development of Subcontractor Technical Procurement Specifications for execution of subcontracted deliverables.
  • Manage changes to the project timeline, project schedule and project costs using appropriate verification techniques.
  • Manage the relationship with all stakeholders.
  • Develop and lead the program schedule and budget for progress.
  • Attend Reviews and Technical Interchange Meetings, as required.
  • Direct maintenance & support requirements to the LSA Project Manager for development and delivery of the following:
  • LSA Analysis
  • Provisioning
  • Material and Provisioning List
  • Carriedon Board Spares
  • Insurance Spares
  • Base Spares
  • Special Tools and Test Equipment (STTE)
  • Onboard Storage Location
  • Packaging, Handling, Storage and Transportation (PHS&T)
  • The Project Manager leads the Team to implement In-Service Support contracts ensuring optimal support for the fleet availability parameters.
  • The contractual requirements achieved with a competent team to perform the required Systems Management functions.
  • Establishing delivery plans with clients negotiating and agreeing the engagement to the contractual arrangements.

What you'll bring

  • A bachelor's degree in engineering, busines administration or logisitcs management. Diplomas may be accepted with sufficient employment experience.
  • Must be certified as a Project Management Professional (PMP).
  • A minimum of 10 years demonstrated experience in program or project management in the last 15 years.
  • Track record of successfully leading or managing an ILS project.
  • Have experience in System Management relating to In Service Support.
  • Profound specialist knowledge (maintenance and repair processes, technical documentation, product life cycle and supply chain management, performance and quality assurance management, risk management).
  • Knowledge of applicable standards and specifications.
  • Proficient knowledge of MS Word, Excel, Power Point and Project or other project management software
  • Strong negotiating and conflict management skills.
  • Analytical / Logical thinking.
  • Strong attention to detail and problemsolving skills.
  • Strong time management and organizational skills.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.
