We are looking for a manual machinist for our Winnipeg, Manitoba location to join our team of experienced welders, machinists and fabricators who thrive in our dynamic, fastpaced environment where craftsmanship, quality and customerfocus are core values.
This position is responsible for the operation of manual lathes, milling machines and other related machine shop equipment.
Opportunity for training and operation of CNC machines.

Essential Job Functions:

Manufacture of metal components from technical drawings using manual lathes, milling machines, grinding machines, drill presses, and band saw
Ability to use measuring equipment to verify components meet the technical drawing requirements
Planning and setup of machining jobs based on an existing customer sample part
Ability to follow verbal instructions and communicate effectively with coworkers
Follow all safety regulations
Clean and maintain work area
Maintain quality standards.
Work overtime as required to support company objectives
Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

Extensive experience with manual machining
Prior experience with CNC machines and Mastercam is an asset
Must be able to work 40 hours a week with occasional overtime, Monday through Friday
Must be able to lift 50 pounds regularly and able to stand for long periods of time
Must be able to use power hand tools and other typical machine shop tools
Must be legally eligible to work in Canada
Able to pass preemployment background check as required by law.
Able to pass preemployment drug test as required by law.

Salary:
Up to $40.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
