Joining an outstanding team, you will be assisting and contributing in the administration, coordination/facilitation, assessment and analysis, and finally adjudication of claims related to Enbridge Gas Inc.'s operations.

What You Will Do:

  • Responsible for incoming claims review and triage.
  • Provide monthly reporting to the business through the Ombuds Office report (types of claims, amounts paid, trends, approvals/denials, etc).
  • Liaise with operating divisions with respect to claims/requests for compensation matters to gather information.
  • Send communication to claimant re: denial or approval of claim.
  • Initiate payment through the system.
  • Process payments and maintain intercompany coding, allocations and budgeting reports in compliance with internal control parameters.
  • Maintenance of system of record and provide ad hoc claims advice and review cases with the Ombuds Office and our Legal Department.

Who You Are:

You have the following education & experience:

  • Related university degree and limited previous experience and knowledge of risk and insurance experience, including claims handling.
  • Knowledge and understanding of the natural gas utility and its operations including work management software (e.g. Maximo) is an asset.
  • Completed, be working towards, or willingness to enter training and/or Insurance and Risk Management designation.
  • Ability to deal with difficult and sensitive issues.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

Following would be the preferred skills:

  • Experience with customer information system like SAP.
  • Previous experience in risk management with a major energy or pipeline company would be an asset.

Working Conditions:

  • Some travelling is required for this role(1015%). Valid G License and responsible driver's license would be needed.
