Position Overview

Wescan Residential Services is seeking a skilled and experienced Residential Plumber to join our team and provide top-notch plumbing services to our residential clients.

As a Residential
Plumber, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, installing, and maintaining plumbing systems in homes. Your expertise and professionalism will play a crucial role in ensuring the satisfaction and comfort of our clients.

Key Responsibilities:

Perform diagnostics to identify plumbing issues in residential properties and effectively communicate findings to clients.
Conduct repairs, replacements, and installations of plumbing fixtures, pipes, fittings, and appliances such as sinks, toilets, showers, water heaters, and more.
Collaborate with clients to discuss repair and installation options, providing accurate cost estimates and outlining the steps involved in the process.
Utilize appropriate tools, equipment, and materials to complete plumbing tasks in a safe and efficient manner.
Adhere to local plumbing codes and regulations, ensuring all work meets required standards and passes inspections.
Complete Wescan work orders, maintain and update records of work performed, including detailing the nature of the issue, actions taken, and materials used.
Respond to emergency plumbing situations promptly and effectively, offering solutions to mitigate damage and ensure client safety.
Continuously expand your knowledge of plumbing techniques, emerging technologies, and industry best practices.
Provide excellent customer service by maintaining a professional demeanor, addressing client concerns, and leaving workspaces clean and organized.
Collaborate with team members and supervisors to coordinate schedules, share expertise, and enhance overall team performance.

Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent; completion of a formal apprenticeship program or vocational training in plumbing is preferred.
Valid plumbing license/certification in accordance with local regulations.
Proven experience as a Plumber with a strong portfolio of successful plumbing projects is an asset.
3rd or 4th year apprentice with service experience will also be considered.
Proficiency in diagnosing plumbing issues, repairing leaks, installing fixtures, and conducting maintenance on various plumbing systems.
Solid understanding of plumbing codes, regulations, and safety practices.
Ability to operate and maintain plumbing tools and equipment effectively.
Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to explain complex plumbing issues in simple terms to clients.
Exceptional problemsolving skills and attention to detail.
Physical ability to lift heavy objects, work in confined spaces, and perform tasks that may require bending, kneeling, and reaching.
A valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
Excellent interpersonal skills and a customerfocused mindset.
Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, to accommodate client needs and emergency situations.
