About the role

We are currently hiring 1 full-time Student Intern for a 4-month Summer internship from May to August 2024. This Intern will report to the Survey Design and Data Collection team.

Here's an example of how you'll make an impact:

  • Implement processes to ensure the quality, reliability and timeliness of data produced through CMHC surveys within a region.
  • Support crossfunctional projects and initiatives that relate to survey design and analytics, proposes recommendations, contributes to project planning and operations.
  • Review existing work methods associated with data quality and reliability and provides recommendations to improve effectiveness and efficiency.
  • Communicate with the housing industry and other stakeholders regarding CMHC's housing market surveys and methodologies.

What you need to succeed:


  • Currently enrolled in or a recent graduate of a College or University degree in a related discipline such as Statistics, Economics, Business Administration, Marketing or other field where survey related methodologies are used.
  • A previous experience in, and knowledge of survey methods and processes, data quality control analysis and data management practices. Experience can be acquired through the studies, work experience or volunteer activities.
  • Strong oral and written communication, excellent organizational and planning skills and the ability to work independently as well as within a team setting.

Nice to have:


  • Bilingualism (English and French) is an asset, but not required.
  • Experience working with the following programs: Python & R.
