Payroll Coordinator - Toronto, Canada - Altus Group
Description
Responsibilities:
- Prepare adjustments and entries in the system for all employment offers, bonus payments, increase, and other employee transactions;
- Auditing payroll entries and maintaining payroll records;
- Preparing and submitting journal entries, calculating and requesting manual cheques and completing forms, such as Records of Employment, Government Requests for Information, Workers Comp Returns;
- Responding in a timely manner to payroll inquiries from employees, management and external agencies and assisting with the resolution of payroll issues;
- Generating reports and preparing summaries;
- Assisting with special payroll related projects, such as balancing T4s and Releve 1 statements at year end, preparing annual Workers Comp Returns and Provincial Health Annual Returns.
Job Requirements:
- College diploma in the related discipline;
- Active certified member of the CPA, Payroll designation preferred;
- Experience with processing payroll across Canada including the Province of Quebec;
- Bilingual (English and French) will be considered an asset;
- Ability to work flexible hours when required;
- Ability to work within a team environment and independently;
- Exceptional organizational and problemsolving skills;
- High degree of accuracy and attention to detail;
- Strong oral and written communication skills.

Schedule:
- 8 hour shift
