Accommodation is a key factor relating to student satisfaction, and a critical part of their experience at EC.

The Student Services Coordinator - Accommodation at EC Montreal is responsible for the planning, sourcing and recruitment of student homestays for the Centre.

They are responsible for the smooth day to day operation of the function, ensuring students are provided with high quality, safe and secure accommodation, while maximizing occupancy and delivering excellent customer service at all times.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Responsible for sourcing, planning, and recruitment of homestays in order to meet agreed NPS, financial and occupancy targets
  • Allocates "BEST FIT" homestay families for the student and ensures that all information is sent in agreed timeframes to admissions and the student's agent
  • Responds to students' queries/complaints regarding homestays and acts as liaison between student and accommodation providers. Consistently reviews student feedback to ensure it is in line with targets set and ensures that the agreed company complaint handling system is followed, constantly monitoring its effectiveness
  • Carries out all administrative duties to ensure the efficient running of the homestay accommodation function and maintains an up to date system of all necessary records, including but not limited to the creation and upkeep of accommodation profiles, and promotional materials content, together with the monitoring and checking of related invoices and host family remittances.
  • Keeps abreast of all industry news and what competitor schools are offering and ensures that a system of continuous improvement is embedded within the service
  • Liaises with key supply partners working with them to consistently improve the product and student experience
  • Ensures all Orange Carpet standards relevant to the students' homestay accommodation experience are implemented
  • Proposes develops and implements new initiatives which enhance EC's homestay accommodation product and service delivery
  • Ensures the company's safeguarding policy is implemented and adhered to, while promoting a safe environment for our students
  • Responds to emergency phone issues related to homestay accommodation

Education Required:


  • Postsecondary level of education
  • Fluent in written and spoken English and French

Education Desired:


  • Diploma in Hospitality Management or equivalent
  • Experience in a similar role dealing with a multicultural customer base
  • Previous experience working in the hospitality/EFL industry

Experience Required:


  • Previous experience working in customer facing industry, ideally with multicultural aspect.

Experience Desired:


  • Knowledge of the EFL industry
