Department, Unit or Project Description:
Job Summary:
Provide research support for faculty members in their teaching, research and laboratory activities. Work is performed independently, with the availability of direction and guidance from Research Staff or Manager.
Accountabilities:
- Designs, adapts and performs specialized research procedures.
- Carries out complex statistical analysis.
- Assists with recruiting participants for studies.
- Coordinates and conducts structured project participant interviews and focus groups.
- Conducts literature reviews and synthesis.
- Coordinates the use of laboratory equipment.
- Records, classifies, and summarizes research data according to established procedures.
- Performs other related tasks as outlined by the research coordinator.
Qualifications:
Education:
Completed a relevant post-secondary degree.
Experience:
Minimum of 12 months experience.
Assets:
- _Strong written communication and organization skills_
- _Experience with quantitative data management (Excel and SPSS or STATA)_
- _Experience with qualitative analysis (NVivo/Dedoose)**_
- _Experience with knowledge translation and data visualization_
- _Experience working with public safety organizations_
- _Experience working with mobile health apps_
- _Experience with implementation research_
Additional Information:
Accountabilities:
- Work with the Research Coordinator and/or Principal Investigator to gather and compile data.
- Assist in the documentation of research protocols.
- Record and maintain accurate records.
- Conduct literature searches to support research project.
- Seek guidance and direction from Research Staff or Manager.
