Your opportunity:


The Office of the Faculty Registrar works closely with departments and colleges at the University of Toronto, concerning virtually all matters relating to Arts and Science students.

Our department members are dedicated to aid all students to the greatest extent, to make their university experience as smooth and seamless as possible.

We coordinate personal, financial, and academic counselling, registration and enrolment, student records, transfer credit, petitions, final examinations, and graduation.


Your responsibilities will include:


  • Analyzing and reconciling registration/status/program of study information
  • Resolving issues within the scope of the role and escalating problems as required
  • Keeping wellinformed on policies, procedures and key regulatory deadlines
  • Reviewing and assessing student records to determine academic standing and informing students of changes
  • Reviewing and assessing student records to confirm eligibility to graduate
  • Analyzing administrative processes and procedures and recommending changes for improvement
  • Following rules and procedural processes related to Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act (FIPPA)
  • Documenting and maintaining standard operating procedures

Essential Qualifications:


  • Bachelor's Degree or acceptable combination of equivalent experience.
  • Demonstrated experience with degree and program requirements in a postsecondary institution or division
  • Understanding of and experience with a student information system (e.g. ROSI) and a degree assessment/audit system (e.g.,Degree Explorer)
  • Advanced skills using MS Excel, MS Word, and Outlook
  • Demonstrated time management and organizational skills with the ability to effectively prioritize, multi
- task and organize work

  • Demonstrated resourcefulness and ability to analyze problems, identify key information and issues, and exercise initiative and develop effective solutions
  • Indepth knowledge of the Faculty of Arts & Science registrarial policies, practices, and procedures is a definite asset
  • Follow rules and procedural processes related to Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act (FIPPA)
  • Excellent organizational skills to maintain accurate records and information systems
  • Excellent time management skills
  • Superior interpersonal and customer service skills
  • Strong problem solving skills with sound judgement

Assets (Nonessential):


  • Knowledge of SQL and RocketShuttle (or equivalent)
