Role Title

Actuarial COOP - Spring 2024 Term

Purpose of role

As a Co-op in an actuarial role in Toronto, you will gain exposure across a wide range of actuarial disciplines including business planning, capital management, financial modeling, pricing, management reporting, risk, valuation and insurance product analysis for both Canada and the U.S.

Positions are open to students of different levels

Job Description:

Key Responsibilities

You will gain experience working with comprehensive financial modelling systems that utilize a variety of actuarial, spreadsheet, database, and reporting software.
Work closely with other teams such as Corporate Actuarial, Capital Management, Pricing, Risk, Investments, Finance and IT, allowing you to gain valuable work exposure across functions.

Key Qualifications

Entry level actuarial student writing actuarial exams.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
Strong analytical and technical skills.
Experience with AXIS, Datalink, Hyperion and Microstrategy is desirable but not required.
