About the Opportunity:


Reporting to the Program Manager or designate and the Janssen Chair the Secretary provides administrative/secretarial support to the Janssen Chair who provide academic contributions/leadership to the department as well as clinical leadership to the province.

The Secretary provides a full range of administrative support to the chair which may include but is not limited to document preparation for research granting agencies, taking minutes, preparing letters, and scheduling meetings and appointments.


About You:

We would love to hear from you if you have the following:

  • Grade 12 plus graduate of a recognized office administration / business / secretarial program or an equivalent combination of education, training and progressively responsible experience
  • Two years recent related experience required
  • Medical terminology required
  • Proficiency in MedAccess is an asset (electronic medical record)
  • Speed and accuracy in document transcription
  • Competency in the management of computer files
  • Typing of 60 wpm
  • Proficiency in advanced word processing functions
  • Proficiency in spreadsheets and databases
  • Proficiency physician billings (MSI and / or IFHP) is an asset
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
  • Strong organizational, time management and planning/prioritization skills
  • Competencies in other languages an asset, Arabic preferred

Hours:


  • Long Assignment Part Time (80%) position; 56 hours biweekly
  • Approximately 12 months

Compensation and Incentives:

$ $23.14 Hourly
