Schill Insurance Brokers is looking for Claims Manager in our Surrey (Guildford) location.

The role of the Claims Manager is to oversee the claims process and ensure claims are handled efficiently, accurately, and professionally.

Bonusthis is a Monday-to-Friday position - no weekends or evenings

Responsibilities:

Perform full cycle claims handling and adjusting including gathering loss details, assisting in determining coverage, and, if required, placing the claim into the market. Arrange emergency restoration services using a preferred vendor if needed.
Provide prompt, courteous, accurate, and fair claims advocacy to all customers for Personal and Commercial Lines policies.
In the event of a dispute, work with the customer, company adjuster, and preferred vendors to determine the best way to resolve the claim. If needed, assist the insured in the dispute resolution process.
Maintain detailed file records by promptly entering pertinent data into the appropriate systems and set activities to follow up with the client throughout the claim to ensure the loss is being handled and moving forward appropriately.
When the claim closes, contact the insured to discuss mitigation opportunities.
Examine losses under our inhouse programs ensuring approved independent adjusters, restoration companies, and legal companies are engaged as needed. Monitor claims progression and communicate with Lloyds of London as appropriate.
Identify and pursue opportunities for subrogation.
