POSITION:


  • Patient Registration Clerk
    DEPARTMENT:

    CONDITIONS:
  • Temporary Fulltime for approximately seven (7) months
    HOURS:
  • Approximately 75.0 Biweekly Hours
    SHIFTS:
  • Days / Evenings / Nights / Weekends 7.5 Hours per shift
    WAGE RANGE:
  • Scale Minimum Maximum
  • NONU $24.18/hr $29.

RESPONSIBILITIES:


  • Perform all Admitting/ER/MNB Scheduling/Registration, Bedboard and Census functions
  • The incumbent will utilize an automated CPI/ADT computer system to process outpatient, day surgery and inpatient admissions
  • Receive and document patients. Complete financial transactions as required.
  • Provide communication between patients, physician/nursing and support personnel

REQUIREMENTS:


  • High school diploma
  • Completed Medical Terminology course is required
  • Knowledge of computers/general office procedures
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to cope effectively with multiple demands and stressful work environment
  • Accurate typing with a minimum of 60 wpm is essential

PREFERRED:


  • Medical Office Administration diploma or related
  • Patient registration experience in a hospital or healthcare environment
