Patient Registration Clerk
DEPARTMENT:

Temporary Fulltime for approximately seven (7) months
HOURS:
Approximately 75.0 Biweekly Hours
SHIFTS:
Days / Evenings / Nights / Weekends 7.5 Hours per shift
WAGE RANGE:

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Perform all Admitting/ER/MNB Scheduling/Registration, Bedboard and Census functions
The incumbent will utilize an automated CPI/ADT computer system to process outpatient, day surgery and inpatient admissions
Receive and document patients. Complete financial transactions as required.
Provide communication between patients, physician/nursing and support personnel

REQUIREMENTS:

High school diploma
Completed Medical Terminology course is required
Knowledge of computers/general office procedures
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Ability to cope effectively with multiple demands and stressful work environment
Accurate typing with a minimum of 60 wpm is essential

PREFERRED:

Medical Office Administration diploma or related
Patient registration experience in a hospital or healthcare environment
