  • CEGEP Champlain St. Lawrence is currently looking for a Class 1 Administrative Support Agent to fill a fulltime permanent position (35 hours per week), in the Professional Services and Student experience sectors.
  • Main responsibilities
  • Reporting to the Dean of Faculty and Professional Services, the incumbent will perform administrative tasks for the Professional Services and Student Experience sectors in addition to performing the administration and organization of adapted services exams. The incumbent will also have to replace daily at the reception in addition to participating in the proper functioning of the sale of books and various merchandise at the start of each semester.
  • The incumbent will be responsible for the following:
  • Administration and organization of exams for adapted services
  • In collaboration with the Professional services sector, participate in the administration and organization of adapted service examinations.
  • Oversee the process of accepting and approving exams in the Student Access Centre platform.
  • Prepare exams and the exam room for students and proctors.
  • Contact exam proctors and organize the work schedule to cover all exams.
  • Reply to messages from students and teachers
  • Carryout followup with teachers
  • Collaborate and provide support to the adapted services team.
Administrative support- Provide administrative support for the Professional Services, Student Experience and Communications sectors;

  • Welcome, support and guide students to the various services and departments in the College.
  • Tasks include, but are not limited to making reservations, maintaining lists for sports teams and club members, entering trigger codes, filing, ensuring information on website and Omnivox is kept up to date, help with printing and updating documentation, provide support for events such as graduation.


Bookstore and miscellaneous goods- Participate in the organization, proper functioning and sale of books and various goods, at the beginning of the semester for a period of three to four weeks.


  • Participate in the reception of orders and the return of books.
  • Provide punctual support as needed.
Replacements- Perform the replacement at the reception desk during breaks, meal periods and miscellaneous holidays;

  • Replace occasionally at the library;
If necessary, perform any other related task


Requirements:


  • Education
  • Hold a diploma of professional studies (DEP) with appropriate option or diploma of secondary studies (DES) or a diploma or certificate of studies whose equivalence is recognized by the competent authority.


  • Experience

  • Have at least (1) year of relevant experience.
Assets- Excellent communication skills in English and French, both oral and written. Applicants will be required to undergo language tests in English and French.

  • Ability to use various software such as the Microsoft Office suite. Applicants must submit themselves to tests in Excel and Word.
  • Be rigorous, know how to plan, prioritize and organize your work.
  • Must have excellent customer service skills, be meticulous and be able to work easily both as a team and independently.
