In this role, you will collaborate with the Director of Revenue and Reservations to drive revenue and profit using rational, disciplined decision-making processes, while managing risk under current and anticipated market conditions.

This highly collaborative position is key to the development and implementation of effective product, price, inventory, and distribution strategies. This position oversees all aspects of inventory management in all guest channels, including online travel agencies (OTAs).

This role requires critical thinking, strong relationship-building abilities, change management skills, and an analytical mind. It requires the ability to successfully communicate rate and product recommendations to the Reservations Team.


Responsibilities:


  • Maintain knowledge in PMS and all revenue systems as required for this role.
  • Manage all transient room reservations while focusing on maximizing room revenue and average rate using standard rate quoting scenarios and upselling rooms when possible.
  • Prepare weekly rooms forecast for the operations team.
  • Work closely with Director of Revenue and Reservation and Director of Sales using revenue management philosophies to maximize top line revenue.
  • Manage all OTA partners to maximize visibility and revenue while maintaining the twoway interface through SynXis. Maintain rate parity across all channels.
  • Proactively monitor local events and plan for demands on inventory.
  • Work with the Operations teams to maximize inventory levels to ensure maximum utilization.
  • Handle staff recruitment, scheduling and other administrative requirements for the Reservations Department.
  • Review task processes and staff productivity in ensuring that work standards are consistently met. Conduct standards testing including call audits.
  • Forecast departmental expenses and accruals as required to maintain monthly P&L.
  • Handle guest concerns and react quickly, logging and notifying proper areas and ensuring effective, meaningful followup.
  • Have a complete knowledge of hotel's emergency procedures and ensure team is fully trained to execute emergency procedures.
  • Develop, implement and maintain SOP's related to Revenue and Reservations. Train the team to develop a culture of service excellence.
  • Conduct performance reviews and provide regular feedback to Reservations Team.
  • Perform any and all other tasks which are assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 3+ years' experience in a business pricing role, analysis role, reservation's role, or similar work experience related to driving revenue and business growth.
  • Advanced experience using Microsoft Office tools (Excel, Word, PPT, MS Teams) strongly preferred, with a strong focus on Excel.
  • Strong "cando" attitude with willingness to be flexible and adaptable.
  • Ability to make decisions, solve problems, exercise good judgment and think critically.
  • Able to draw conclusions through data analysis and communicate clearly to stakeholders.
  • Strong commitment to building positive working relationships and collaboration.
  • Resourceful, with a curiosity to ask questions and create new solutions.
  • Ability to organize and prioritize multiple tasks in a fastpaced environment.
  • Sense of urgency to complete job duties accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Solid written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality of proprietary information.
  • Hospitality and servicefocused mindset including the need to work successfully with both internal and external partners.
  • While infrequent, must be flexible to work nontraditional hours/days if there is a critical business need.
