Position Purpose:


This position is responsible for executing the Billing Exception Listings to identify and resolve the concerns related to Exception Listing reports to ensure bill accuracy, verifying, correcting and canceling consumption data sent to retailers through Electronic Business Transaction (EBT) as necessary.

Inform water department about meter concerns and follow the meter reading schedule along with downloading the cycle/route schedules to the hand held devices and uploading the readings to Customer Information (CX), and ensuring the timely completion of meter reading tasks.


This position is to contact customers to obtain readings/keys and access to the metering equipment This position is required to work closely with meter readers and maintain the tools used for the purpose and to verify the accuracy of contracted meter reading invoices.

Responsibilities:


  • Execute queries to create Billing Exception and ltron's MultiVendor meter Reading Software (MV-RS) Reports and clear any errors, inconsistency or concerns in order to bill the customer accounts accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Operation of the meter reading system, collect, verify and load the meter reading data from hand held devices, to CX in an accurate and timely manner. Verify and update the statistical files in order to maintain accuracy of the reports created and verifying the contracted meter reading invoice Update the data for customer keys in CX, meter reading errors, customer account issues, update hazard codes and information specific to readin meters.
  • Create Work Order (WO) for meter read verifications for electrical and water consumption and follow up with meter reader, meter tech and/or water department in order to resolve meter errors.
  • Acquire and make effective use of the knowledge provided regarding various projects completed (e.g. smart meters, Micro Feedln Tariff (FIT), net metering)
  • Processing MV90 RIMS billing reports, including FIT, submetering, wells, and other uniquely created billing routes
  • Document procedures, provide information, guidance and training to new/existjng department employees for own job.
  • Assist in testing i.e. Software (S/W) Upgrades, in order to provide training and improve the process efficiencies.
  • Perform other duties as required.

Skills & Qualifications:


  • Secondary School Diploma plus experience to gain the following knowledge and experience:
  • Knowledge of GHESI Billing & detailed knowledge of meter reading policies and procedures.
  • Detailed knowledge of CX functions
  • Knowledge of smart meter setup and Micro Feed-In Tariff Programs
  • Knowledge of OEB and other regulatory requirements and changes, as these relate to the position e.g. Affiliate Relationship Code, etc.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent interpersonal and customer relations skills
  • Knowledge of office procedures, ability to keep accurate records, organization and multitasking skills,
  • Knowledge of computer equipment and ability to use P.C. software including
  • Windows Operating System, Outlook, MV-RS, UIQ, Excel Word
