Junior Quality Control Associate

is uniquely positioned in the health contract manufacturing sector in that it offers a complete one-stop-shop service from raw materials sourcing and product formulations to final packaging.
SUMMARY:
As part of the Quality Department, this position contributes to the completion of routine technical tasks and any additional quality tasks as identified.
JOB DUTIES:
- Communicate with third party lab for any test request and inquiries
- Perform quality inspection for raw materials and lab testing for finished products
- Review and approval of batch records and GMP documents for manufacturing prior to distribution in production
- Participate in complaint investigation and OOS investigations
- Handle deviation and change control
- Help with creation of SOPs and document maintenance
- Assist with any inquiries from other departments and clients
- Perform quality control during each phase of the production process of finished products to ensure that raw materials, packaging, labelling and/or bulk components comply with the batch records and product specifications
- Monitor the environment and sanitation program
- Assist with investigations and document nonconformances, deviations and complaints
- Collect samples of raw materials, bulks and finished products for laboratory testing
- Collect and maintain retention samples of finished products, bulks and raw materials
- Assist with organization of retention room
- Assist with maintaining stability program
- Assist with company GMP training
- Other tasks such as filing and maintenance of the batch records, collection of GMP documents from production etc.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Minimum 1year industry experience in technical/quality position for NHP, Pharmaceutical, Medical Devices or Cosmetics products
- Post-Secondary Education in Science, Biology, Nutrition or related field. A degree/diploma in quality assurance, regulatory affairs would be considered as an asset.
- Strong team player, resultsdriven, multitasker who requires mínimal supervision and has the ability to work with multiple projects under tight deadlines
- Strong organizational and project management skills including the ability to prioritize projects, coordinate multiple responsibilities simultaneously
- Outstanding communication and problemsolving skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook) and Adobe Acrobat
- Familiar with Canadian Natural and Non-Prescription Product Regulations. And knowledge of regulations of other authorities would be considered as an asset.
- Quality control certificate, HACCP, GMP certificate or Food safety certificate or industry experience would be an asset
