About the Job:


Reporting to the Executive Director, Communications and Fund Development, the department coordinator provides administrative and other support to the Executive Director, Communications and Fund Development and to the Communications and Fund Development department, contributing to the overall achievement of strategic goals and to the efficiency and productivity of a dynamic and evolving department.

The Department coordinator is responsible for assisting with event planning and implementation, fundraising activities, data entry, weekly tax receipt distribution, and records upkeep, responding to donations calls and inquiries, sorting and managing and occasionally picking up incoming in-kind donations, research for grants and projects, scheduling, as well as for keeping the department current with reporting and filing and assisting the ED with other day-to-day activities.

You will attend events hosted by Atira's programs and may need to take pictures and where appropriate create social media and online content in collaboration with the Coordinator, Social Media and Communications.

There will be other diverse and related duties assigned.

You graduated from a recognized administrative assistant/secretarial post-secondary program and have three (3) years of senior administrative support experience or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.

Education and credentials will be valued only as much as work experience. You have advanced computer skills and are a fast and accurate typist. You have a valid driver's license. You are able to lift up to 30 lbs.
