The Coordinator, Academic Programs is responsible for providing administrative and program support for the School of Engineering Science, and troubleshooting issues that might arise in the graduate and undergraduate programs.

This role is also responsible for coordinating, developing, and maintaining the School's website and web/social media presence and the School's teaching schedules for undergraduate and graduate courses in consultation with the Associate Director.

The Coordinator supports all activities and processes preparing for and maintaining the School's Accreditation with the Canadian Accreditation Engineering Board (CEAB).

This role also works closely with the School Manager supporting other administrative activities for the School and provides backup coverage for the Manager.


Qualifications:


Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or a related discipline and three years of related experience including experience in program administration and academic advising within a post-secondary setting, or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.

  • Excellent data analysis skills using multiple data sources and ability to present data in meaningful ways in reports.

  • Ability to train, delegate, and provide work direction to support staff.
  • Ability to handle highly confidential information with discretion.
  • Ability to work in a highly demanding environment where issues are diverse and complex.
  • Ability to accomplish objectives, set priorities, and meet strict deadlines.
  • Ability to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends.
  • Ability to arrange suitable transportation to various work locations.
  • Proficient in the use of student information and enterprise systems (e.g., PeopleSoft).
