This is an 18-Months Contract Position.


The
Product Owner - GRS Member Journey role focuses on building amazing digital experiences that delight our Clients while also ensuring we maintain a balance in our experience that attracts Employers to wanting have Sun Life support their Group Retirement plan provider.

You'll lead a vision for our Client website platform with a clear roadmap and prioritized features for what needs to be built.

You will be guided by your deep understanding of our Clients, our competitors, as well as digital innovators, and your close relationships with business and other stakeholders.

You will manage priorities carefully, ensuring that we deliver on the features that are core to our business and align with our overall strategy.


The individual interested in this role is passionate about building client experiences that can support clients in meeting their long-term retirement goals.

You are a leader who has delivered complex, and large-scale projects, in an agile methodology.


What will you do?

  • Setting an ambitious and clear product vision and communicate that vision effectively to stakeholders, your team, and the organization
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure digital vision and products align with team strategy and requirements
  • Work closely with business leaders to establish each product's business value, and support messaging communication and customer outreach as necessary
  • Prioritize and manage items in the backlog that allow you to maintain a backlog that is 3 to 4 sprints ahead of the team
  • Utilize market and industry knowledge to translate user needs into user stories and acceptance criteria for the team
  • Determine endtoend team output strategy from inception to production
  • Facilitate release planning with stakeholders as well as demos
  • Integrate usability studies and research into product requirements to enhance user satisfaction and ensure customer driven design
  • Be accountable for product specific OKRs and communicate progress to stakeholders

What do you need to succeed?

  • Proven knowledge of Group Retirement space
  • 5+ Year of project experience related to Group Retirement products & channels
  • Ability to manage and lead a team to push an end solution forward
  • Experience in facilitating agile ceremonies & backlog/release plans
  • A depth of strategic experience with a focus on business model evolution
  • Strong communication skills and comfortable speaking with business stakeholders
  • Effective at influencing others in supporting product direction
  • Able to navigate an large organization at a senior level
  • Ability to collaborate and make decisions effectively with Technical Leads and Scrum Masters
  • Skilled in handling change management
  • Excellent ability to problem solve, and analyze options, to arrive at the best solution
  • Measurementdriven mindset, passionate about achieving OKRs and quantifying clientvalue
  • Firm grasp of development methodologies, particularly agile development
  • A curious and continuous learning mindset to testandlearn
  • Able to empower others to fail, learn, and grow
  • Encouraging of an experimental mindset to drive innovation
