YOUR NEXT CHALLENGE:

In this enterprise-wide role, Canadian group benefits and pension administration and global compensation are overseen and strategically led. Program development, education, optimization, and overall budgetary impacts are owned in this role.

This is a highly collaborative role with other HR colleagues, finance, and external service providers. The individual in this role is a key member of the HR leadership team and will have supervisory responsibility.

As this position is privy to highly sensitive information, the utmost confidentiality and discretion is required.

Reporting to the Senior Director, Organizational Effectiveness and Global Compensation, you will be part of the Human Resources Department.

You will ensure that the goals and objectives are achieved while promoting and respecting Agnico Eagle's values, Health & Safety Code of Conduct and the environment.


Extended Health Benefits Programming & Administration

  • Lead and negotiate benefit renewals and manage relationships with service providers for all Canadian Benefit plans;
  • Work with the communications team and benefit providers to create materials which promote and educate employees (and families) regarding the program offerings;
  • Establish internal procedures and controls for administering and managing benefits;
  • Troubleshoot/own exceptional cases and reach efficient and fair resolutions; provide all necessary guidance for frontline HR/People Leader support;
  • Oversee Employee Family Assistance Program(s) and ensure it meets the needs of employees and their families.

Retirement Plan Programming & Administration

  • Support the Pension Committee by leading pension governance and ensuring all retirement savings plans and vehicles meet all legislative requirements and filing deadlines;
  • Manage the Group Retirement Plan administration Canadawide;
  • Work with service providers to ensure the company and employees are receiving the greatest benefit from the plan possible and develop communication and education materials/campaigns and programs to promote the Retirement Plan;
  • Manage annual SERP filing requirements and ensure executives are provided with annual statements and information on the plan;
  • Organize an annual review on the key metrics associated to the programs with the provider.

Equity Program Management

  • Manage global equity programs (Employee Share Purchase Plan and Long Term Incentive Plan) the equity platform and service relationship;
  • Ensure all divisions have the proper tools, processes and communication materials to effectively administer the ESPP in their region;
  • Manage all Long Term Incentive Plan grants and ensure the annual year end process is well defined;
  • Ensure the equity platform is up to date in terms of grants, releases and demographic data.

Compensation and Total Rewards Strategy

  • Evaluate and make recommendations on compensation strategies that attract and retain top talent.

Payroll

  • Oversee the execution of the Toronto and US payroll;
  • Oversee the administration of expatriate benefits and payroll activities, partnering with supporting vendors.

Merger and Acquisition

  • Participate in the integration of Canadian Benefits and Group Retirement Plans, managing th
