M W F 1:35 pm - 2:25 pm

Job description:
An introduction to physical meteorology designed for students in the physical sciences.

Prepare formal lectures and lead class discussions on the topics of:

composition of the atmosphere; heat transfer; the upper atmosphere; atmospheric optics; formation of clouds and precipitation; instability; adiabatic charts.

Administer tests and examinations in conformity with McGill regulations. Mark assignments and tests and submit final grades online using McGill systems.

Class lectures are 3 hours per week for 13 weeks per term.


Teaching Qualification Requirements:

Education:

Must have a PhD in Atmospheric and Oceanic Sciences, or a related field.


Experience:

Must have prior experience teaching similar courses at McGill, or relevant teaching at a university or college level.

McGill University is an English-language university where most teaching and research activities are conducted in the English language, thereby requiring English communication both verbally and in writing
