What You Will Do
- Develops and arranges activities for clients in accordance with their personal programs.
- Schedule the hours, activities and vacation periods of clients in cooperation with the Sr. Employment Specialist. Monitors attendance and punctuality. Enforces all policies that relate to department activities and personnel.
- Handle initial concerns with clients as they arise. Problem solving skills required. Must be able to use appropriate agency resources to best deal with client needs.
- Coordinates the daily janitorial and cleaning function for the Career Centre, lunchroom, washrooms, and program areas by the Client.
- A key function of the job is Skills training, creating and training of life skills, and building community connections. Finding opportunities for clients in the community.
- Identifies and corrects fire and safety hazards. Reports findings and actions to Health and Safety Representative.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and maintenance of confidentiality is required at all times.
- Strictly follow MDS and Guiding Principles for any clients placed into Donated and Goods and Retail setting with Goodwill EKL.
- Works closely with the clients to ensure that they conduct themselves in a safe and productive manner.
- Assists with the promotion of safety in the workplace.
- Responsible for promotion of a safe workplace and understanding of the obligations set forth in the Occupational Health and Safety Act.
- Assumes additional responsibilities as required.

- Flexibility: able to work at various times, including days, evenings, and weekends.
- DSW/CYW diploma an asset.
- Customer Service experience.
- Acceptable criminal reference check.
- Excellent oral/written communication skills.
