Maintenance Technician
The Coast Salish Group is hiring a maintenance technician for the Oyster Bay Development. The Oyster Bay Development includes 2 gas stations, 2 office/commercial buildings and related landscaping. You will inspect the buildings and premises and perform any basic repairs or preventative maintenance when required.

To do well in this role you should have previous experience in both routine and preventative maintenance and be highly skilled with various hand/power tools.

Responsibilities

Assist in the creation of maintenance schedule for buildings.
Conducting routine inspections of premises and equipment.
Repairing buildings, equipment or other structures as necessary. Examples may include repairing drywall, painting, staining, and minor wood construction.
Performing routine and preventative maintenance.
Carrying out all landscaping duties. Examples may include Lawns, trees, fertilizing, weed control.
Cleans and assists with upkeep of the facilities.
Overseeing contractors when more significant repairs are necessary.
Order supplies, equipment and materials needed for repairs and maintenance.
Perform other related duties as assigned.

Required Skills/Abilities

Ability to follow instructions from supervisor.
Proven maintenance experience.
Skilled in the use of hand and power tools.
Ability to use common tools such as hammers, mowers, saws, drills, and wrenches.
Experience performing routine maintenance.
Strong organizational and follow up skills.
Eye for detail.
Ability to maintain focus while working individually.
Strong time management skills.
Must be physically able to climb ladders, bend, walk and stand for prolonged periods.
Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at a time.
