HOW TO JOIN OUR TEAM:


You should have experience and be comfortable with all types of carpentry including but not limited to form work, framing and finishing.


You confidently oversee projects from start to finish, handling all aspects of running a job site, including scheduling of sub-trades, our team, and receiving materials.


You should have an excellent work ethic, solid communication skills, own a complete array of tools, a reliable vehicle and always represent the company in a positive manner.


Responsibilities:


  • Executes the written scope of the project contract
  • Understands the client's need to have the project finished on time and on budget.
  • Reads and interprets site drawings, and specifications and communicating out to the rest of the team
  • Confidently oversees each project from start to finish, handling all aspects of running any size of job site. Including scheduling of subtrades, our team, and receiving materials
  • Ensure compliance with BC Building Codes and safety standards
  • Liaise with the Project Manager, Design Team, Accounting and Sales to ensure all aspects of the job run smoothly
  • Collaborate with other team members and coordinate trades/supply partners
  • Supervises the team onsite.
  • Oversee budgeting, cost control, and project financials
  • Inspecting quality of work by others on your team and that of the sub trades working under your direction
  • Participate in final inspections of the project
  • Coordinating the resolution of deficiencies with applicable trades.
  • Helping to estimate materials and labor costs for projects
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area
  • Communicate in a professional manner with homeowners
  • Provide training and guidance to all onsite team members as needed

Qualifications:


  • Must be a resident of Canada
  • Minimum 5 + years experience in residential construction
  • Ideally 2 or more years of site supervision experience in the Residential Construction industry (renovations, new builds)
  • Experience with construction management and coordination, understanding of project budget & schedule monitoring

Valid driver's license and own a reliable vehicle is required:

  • Strong knowledge of carpentry techniques, tools, and materials
  • Ability to read and interpret site drawings, and specifications
  • Highly motivated selfstarter who works well in a team environment
  • Strong communication skills, detailed, organized and excellent time management skills
  • Problem solver, adaptable and solution oriented, solid conflict resolution skills.
  • Ability to estimate materials and labor costs accurately
  • Familiarity with building codes and safety standards
  • Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously
  • Must own steel toed boots/shoes, and having your own tools is an asset
- *Red Seal Carpentry Ticket is highly preferred, not a requisite

  • Experience working with Procore would be an asset

Your own reliable transportation is a must as our job sites are typically across the Lower Mainland (Vancouver, New Westminster, Coquitlam, Burnaby, Richmond, West Vancouver, North Vancouver). Your typical work schedule is Monday to Friday from 7:30am to 3:30pm.
This is a permanent, full-time position.
