Change Management Consultant

What we are looking for:


As the Change Management Consultant supporting an ecommerce replatforming, you will guide the client through the human side of the digital transformation, creating awareness, fostering understanding, and preparing stakeholders to adopt changes while minimizing resistance.

This is a remote role with a possibility of 25% travel to the client office or team meetings in 3rd party locations.

If you are seeking a strategy role, this is not for you.

It's a "roll up your sleeves, get into the details," tactical role, with knowledge of website merchandising and retail an advantageous addition to practical experience fostering change adoption.

What you will do:


  • Work with internal and client teams to identify and assess stakeholders
  • Identify and plan for communication of releasespecific changes and impacts
  • Partner with Valtech product and project management to create training plans; support the development and delivery of training programs in a Train the Trainer format
  • Develop the change plan and integrate it into the project plan
  • Collaborate with clients to identify stakeholder engagement opportunities
  • Identify and mitigate resistance to change
  • Evaluate and track the progress of stakeholder readiness
  • Collaborate with program leadership to establish change adoption success metrics; monitor and report on change adoption progress

What you should have:


  • 3 to 5 years experience in change management or related fields
  • Familiarity with recognized change methodologies and ability to communicate how people go through change
  • Familiarity with ecommerce technology
  • Work experience in retail buying, planning, merchandising, or site merchandising
  • Experience managing at least one change management work stream in a largescale organizational change initiative from project start to project close
  • Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to create a compelling and engaging narrative, including visual storytelling
  • Tenacity and persistence to gather information and lead team members to action
  • Ability to show empathy and understanding of diverse perspectives to influence others and move toward a common vision or goal
  • Familiarity with project management approaches, tools, and cycles
  • Ability to plan work yet remain agile and flexible

Additional desirable qualifications

  • Prosci or other widely recognized change management certification
