The Manager, Program Management Office is responsible for developing best practice framework, governance and methodologies for enterprise portfolio, program or project management.

The Manager leads a team that will support various business (people, process and system) focused projects and programs within the organization, as well as provide guidance and coaching to department's project managers and across VFPA.

Overall, the Manager of the PMO will play a crucial role in ensuring the successful delivery of projects and programs within the organization.

Accountabilities

Strategic Alignment: work closely with senior management to align the PMO's goals, objectives, and initiatives with the organization's overall strategic direction. Understand the organization's vision and translate it into actionable plans and programs

PMO Governance: establish and maintain the governance framework for the PMO, ensuring that projects and programs adhere to established policies, methodologies, and standards. Develop and enforce project management processes and procedures, and ensure compliance with relevant regulations and industry best practices

Resource Management: Responsible for resource allocation and management within the PMO. They assess the resource needs for various projects and programs, ensure that the right skills and expertise are available, and optimize resource utilization. The Manager may also coordinate with other departments or teams to secure necessary resources

Stakeholder Management: Acts as a key point of contact and builds relationships with stakeholders across the organization. Collaborate with senior executives, project managers, functional managers, and other key stakeholders to ensure alignment and support for the PMO's initiatives. Communicates project status, risks, and issues to stakeholders and addresses their concerns

Performance Monitoring and Reporting: Monitors the performance of projects and programs within the PMO. Track key performance indicators (KPIs), analyze data, and prepare reports for senior management and stakeholders. Identifies areas of improvement, risks, and challenges and takes appropriate actions to address them

Collaboration and Communication: Facilitates collaboration and communication among project teams, stakeholders, and senior management. Organize and lead regular meetings, workshops, and training sessions to promote knowledge sharing and best practices. Ensure that project information and documentation are properly communicated and accessible
