Best Theratronics Ltd. is a Canadian company of TeamBest. We became a member of the Best family in May 2008. We manufacture external beam therapy units and self-contained blood irradiators.

We have created a new product line of cyclo t r ons (B14p, B35p and the B70p) for radioisotope production.

The team brings with it a diverse range of knowledge from around the world. TeamBest is driven by one primary goal - to provide the best products and services to customers.


Summary of Duties

  • Final review/approval and release for shipment of all products
  • Review and approval of nonconformance reports, supplier nonconformance requests, FATs,
  • Preparation of Unit History Files for all products, internal and external (i.e. Nordion)
  • Review and approval of procedures and MITP's for submission to the Nuclear Generating Station sites
  • Ensure compliance with CSA N299 program
  • Notifying employees and maintain training records for operators of NDT and special processes i.e. LPE, welding, radiography, ultrasonic, radiation survey, vision (annual)
  • Manage the WHMIS Program and Inspection Stamp program.


  • Manufacturing support

  • Work order changes, inventory data sheets, serial #'s, nonstandard work orders, etc.
  • Contract Quality Assurance Release (Nordion)
  • Conduct internal special process audits, Supplier audits and participate in 3rd party audits
  • Quality Assurance requirements as required
  • RSO backup
  • Fieldwork notifications backup

Experience/ Knowledge

  • Knowledge/understanding of regulations and standards for the international sales of nuclear and medical device industries (CNSC, ISO 9001, ISO 13485, MDSAP, MDR etc.), an asset
  • Experience in a manufacturing environment, an asset
  • Experience conducting Audits, an asset
  • Knowledge of operational radiation protection principles and practices, an asset

Skills & Qualifications

  • University or college degree in a technical background or related work experience
  • Quick learner who can familiarize themselves with work procedures and plans in a short period of time
  • Ability to adapt to changing priorities when involved with multiple projects
  • Ability to work cooperatively within a diverse group of employees
  • Effective communication skills, verbally and in writing
  • Willing to be designated as a Nuclear Energy Worker (NEW)
  • Attention to detail
  • Must have effective time management skills, high attention to detail, and be able to be selfdirected

Salary:
$55,000.00-$60,000.00 per year
