About the Opportunity:

The NSH People Services Portfolio is establishing an interim Respectful Workplace Team.

Reporting to the Manager of Respectful Workplace, the Human Resources Business Partner - Respectful Workplace will work as part of a provincial team of 4 focusing exclusively on respectful workplace activities.

These activities include, but are not limited to providing leadership and guidance on processes related to harassment and respectful workplace complaints, conducting harassment investigations, providing and supporting informal conflict resolution functions such as mediation, delivering respectful workplace education, developing respectful workplace tools and supports, and supporting the zone based Human Resources Business Partner generalists in navigating respectful workplace matters with their clients.


Over the longer term, the role may remain focused on respectful workplace or transition to providing generalist Human Resources Business Partner leadership and consultation to an assigned group of senior leaders and managers within their geographic zone.


About You:

We would love to hear from you if you have the following:

  • Graduate of post-secondary degree/program in Human Resources or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience
  • Chartered Professional in Human Resources (CPHR) preferred
  • Formal training in conducting investigations preferred
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience providing human resource services that includes respectful workplace support, preferably within a complex unionized environment with multiple unions and/or collective agreements
  • Knowledge of all aspects of human resources, preferably within the health sector
  • Demonstrate uptodate knowledge of labour trends and legislation
  • Experience in mediation and conflict resolution
  • Experience interpreting collective agreements and policies
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and decisionmaking skills
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills to effectively build relationships
  • High level of competence in both written and verbal communication
  • Excellent customer service and problemsolving skills
  • Excellent consultative, influencing and coaching skills
  • Competencies in other languages an asset, French preferred

Hours:


  • Permanent Fulltime positions; 75 hours biweekly
  • Shifts are scheduled Monday to Friday
  • Travel to various sites required
  • Position is eligible to participate in work from home/hybrid work

Compensation and Incentives:

$ $48.48 Hourly
