Field Support Analyst - Grande Prairie, Canada - InSync

We are looking for an
IT Field Support Analyst for a
6-month contract position, with possibility of extension, in
Grande Prairie, Alberta.
Must be legally entitled to work in Canada.
Schedule:
8 hours a day, 40 hours a week.
It is NOT a remote role.
This IT Support Analyst role will be joining our high-performance team of Help Desk professionals who deliver excellent technical support with a high degree of customer satisfaction and timeliness.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support operators and other field staff with IT related issues and requests.
- Travel to field sites and branch offices on a regular basis.
- Work closely with Help Desk and other IT personnel in Calgary.
- Local and remote troubleshooting of end user devices, printers and other computer and telecommunications equipment.
- Deployment of computer hardware and peripherals.
- Provisioning of VoIP devices.
- Perform installation, upgrades, relocation and decommissioning of user devices.
- Create and maintain technical documentation and user guides.
- Assist in writing and/or updating procedures for new functions, policies, processes, and forms.
- After hours support based on rotation.
- Stay up to date on new technology trends and feel comfortable with suggesting ways to incorporate them into the business.
Required Skills and Experience:

2+ years of experience providing support to users in the oil and gas industry

Experience with Microsoft technology stack

Strong IT related technical and analytical skills

Experience with ticketing system like ServiceNow or FreshDesk/FreshService
:
- Able to work independently as well as in a team environment.
- Knowledge of IT Service Management practices and principles.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to analyze metrics and statistics to identify trends, contribute to avoidance tactics, and provide appropriate support.
- Ability to prioritize work accordingly.
Experience in troubleshooting Audio Visual boardroom equipment

Experience with Cisco phone systems, both networked and MRA

Valid Alberta Class 5 Operator's License or equivalent

- Reliable transportation that can be used to drive to field sites and branch offices is required.
