    Position Overview

    Autodesk is seeking an experienced Senior Software Development Manager (Graphics) to lead the Autodesk Graphics Platform (AGP) team in Toronto, Canada.

    As a Senior Software Development Manage for the AGP team you will:

  • Report to the Director of Engineering for platform graphics
  • Deliver graphics capabilities to numerous Autodesk products. The AGP team provides Autodesk subscribers with the rich visualizations and interactions required by computer-aided design, engineering, and video production work
  • Work directly with customers, Autodesk product engineering teams, and graphics industry leaders worldwide to achieve industry-leading graphics fidelity and performance
  • Nurture talent, develop and advocate for best practices, foster collaboration, and provide guidance and mentoring to a high-performing team that delivers quality solutions to Autodesk subscribers

    Responsibilities

  • Oversee the design, development, and implementation of software solutions
  • Manage a team of software developers, setting goals, assigning tasks, and providing feedback
  • Assess, communicate, and help mitigate delivery risks
  • Collaborate with product manager, and other engineering teams to meet team commitments in a professional, high paced engineering environment
  • Make decisions including costs, methods, and staffing that support the engineering and team growth needs
  • Champion best engineering practices
  • Educate team members on how their work aligns with organizational goals
  • Recruit talent and nurture into a high-performing team
  • Inspire, motivate and coach team members to achieve maximum productivity and creativity
  • Minimum Qualifications

  • BS or higher in software engineering or related field
  • 12+ years including relevant managerial experience
  • 5+ experience working through large system software release cycle
  • Experience with Agile and Scrum methodologies
