Our services include emergency food transitional housing and education for homeless and street-involved youth; hospice palliative care; community mental health programs; and supportive housing programs.

By integrating a Harm Reduction framework at Good Shepherd, we can decrease barriers to service and better support some of our community's most marginalized members.

How You Will Make an Impact
In this role, you will work to make a difference in the lives of Clients living at Youth Services.

Services to clients include assessment, planning, crisis prevention and intervention, supportive counselling, education, advocacy, social/recreational programming, life skills teaching ie:
cooking and linkages with other community services.


What You'll Bring to Our Team

  • Primary case management and community development skills acquired through a postsecondary education in social services such as Child and Youth Worker, with a demonstrated commitment to the mission values of availability, responsibility, adaptability, quality and dignity.
  • Must have some experience working with Youth.
  • Knowledge of and experience working in residential treatment for Children under the Ministry Guidelines are a plus.
  • CPR certification or willingness to be certified.
  • Ability to speak French and/or other languages considered an asset.
