MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN, Grande Prairie AB

The maintenance technician will keep all equipment in good repair with a minimum of downtime by providing day-to-day maintenance of the property.

And to complete maintenance work orders from all departments on a timely basis by following hotels standard operating procedures. Continually work towards and support the improvement of engineering service to guests, other departments and fellow staffs.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

Responsible for the ground's maintenance and landscaping of the property.
Responsible for the repairs and maintenance of all community buildings and equipment
Providing support to residence as required.
Responsible in maintaining all Health & Safety aspects of the Community and Community

Buildings

Responsible for doing daily equipment checks.
Ensuring ongoing communication with Property Manager & Maintenance Manger.
Responsible for cleaning work area, tools and equipment.
Responsible for courteous, efficient response at all times.
Operate within the applicable Occupational Health & Safety legislation and company policies at all times.
Other duties as required.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or equivalent combination of education and experience; Clean Driver's Abstract and Clean background/criminal check required.
Experience with ride on lawn mowers and trimmers.

SKILLS & ABILITIES:

Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
Physically fit; ability to lift, push and pull up to 25lbs frequently and up to 50lbs infrequently; ability to work at heights.
Excellent oral & written communication skills
Excellent problem solving, critical thinking and organizational skills.
