    Quality Assurance Coordinator - Grocery & Warehouse


    Position Summary:

    Reporting to the Manager- Quality Assurance, the Quality Assurance Coordinator, Grocery and Warehouse would primarily be responsible for the development and maintenance of the Grocery and Warehousing PCP.

    In addition, he/she would be the primary contact for CFIA and third party auditors as well as carrying out the necessary training for associates and warehouse management on specific food safety program requirements.


    Key Accountabilities:
    Responsible for developing and maintaining the Grocery and Warehousing PCP programs as well as customer related warehousing programs.
    Annual reassessment of the PCP program and ensures that they are completed as scheduled, and that all regulatory and/or customer requirements have been met;
    Development of training material and reference documents for warehouse managers/supervisors and associates to use on-the-floor for instruction on actions to take when deficiencies found;
    Responsible for the development of grocery product controls e.g. documentation, product evaluation, testing, etc.

    Regular QA oversight for SDC/Montreal warehouses as well as main QA contact for any grocery related issues from Goreway and Humberline warehouses.

    Be a QA leader during CFIA and or third party audits in the warehouses.
    Investigate and respond to all grocery related customer complaints.
    Prepare KPI reports for warehouse and grocery and present to the Quarterly Senior Management Review.
    Conduct training, interact with consumers/customers, present findings and represent the company during audits.


    Requirements:
    HACCP experience of at least 1 year, in a warehouse or manufacturing facility.
    Bachelor of science or college diploma in food science or other related science discipline.
    Good understanding of HACCP principles and government regulations in regards to meat processing.
    Knowledge of manufacturing practices.

    Strong computer skills and ability to work with various programs such as Microsoft Office to create word documents, spreadsheets, reports and written letters of response.
