Priority Logistics Inc. is an asset based intermodal service provider with offices across Canada. We offer Intermodal and over the road LTL/TL service from all the points within Ontario, British Columbia, Alberta, Quebec.

A logistics coordinator is responsible for managing all aspects of shipping routes and delivery, creating trips for drivers, out-sourcing loads as well as scheduling pick up and delivery appointments.

Additionally, a logistics coordinator is well-versed in supply management as well as transportation principles and practices.

Responding immediately to customer questions and complaints and notifying them of any delays in the pickup and delivery schedule is essential to this position.

Responsibilities:

Efficiently match available freight loads with available carrier options
Build and track freight loads (FTL and LTL) in the Company's Transportation Management System (TMS)
Manage daily shipment activities, resolving issues to ensure pickup and delivery is on time
Maximize brokerage coverage by developing and maintaining excellent relationships with our clients and suppliers
Build driver trips in TruckMate

Requirements:

2 years of freight forwarding/ 3PL experience
Knowledge of rules and regulations for over the road and shipments moving international
Support both customers and carriers daily to ensure satisfaction and operational excellence
Accountable for results, strives to meet and exceed expectations
Time management/prioritization and followup skills
Outstanding organizational and multitasking abilities
Motivated and show initiative with ability to learn quickly, and work with mínimal supervision
Willingness to adapt and adjust, strong multitask skills and shows an ability to work in a fastpaced environment when required
Excellent problemsolving skills with ability to prioritize
Strives to be a highly efficient team player with a positive personality
Working knowledge of all North American transportation services; LTL, TL, Intermodal and highway transportation modes.
Intermodal experience (dealing with CN Rail and CP Rail is an asset)
Excellent command of English (both written and verbal)
Working knowledge of TMW/Truckmate
Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Applications (Outlook, Excel, Word)
Typing speed of 60 WPM (test will be taken)
Familiar with the GTA and surrounding area (knowledge of Montreal is an asset)
File paperwork / upload paperwork to our TMW software
